About the Owner

Maryke’s journey with food has been a golden thread weaving through every stage of her life. From sitting on the kitchen counter as a child, watching her mother mix and stir, to hosting grand events from her farm kitchen, her love for the culinary arts has always been her guiding passion.

Over the years, Maryke’s cooking evolved from a cherished hobby into a profession. She honed her craft through self-study, experimentation, and a deep connection to fresh, local ingredients. From catering for hundreds to managing deli departments, her dedication to creating memorable meals has remained unwavering.

In 2018, Maryke joined the Bon Courage family, where her vision for pairing exceptional food with world-class wines found its perfect home. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, her resilience and passion led to the growth of Café Maude—a space that brings her lifelong dream to life.
